Canker Sore Treatment

A canker sore is a common form of ulcer, or open sore, occurring in the mouth. It shows up as a white or yellow spot, surrounded by a bright red ring of irritation. Canker sores, also known as recurrent aphthous stomatitis (RAS), are very painful, and can be brought on by viral infections, stress, dietary deficiencies (especially iron, folic acid, or vitamin B12), hormonal changes or food allergies. It generally takes from one to four weeks for them to disappear, and they often recur.

Canker Sores and Sodium Laurel Sulfate
Recent studies have indicated that canker sores may also be caused by sodium laurel sulfate, a powerful detergent found in almost all toothpastes, including organic and children's brands.
It is essential, therefore, that people who are plagued by canker sores use a toothpaste free from SLS and other irritants.
A three-month study undertaken at the University of Oslo in Norway revealed a 60 to 70 percent reduction in the number of canker sores in patients who used a toothpaste that did not contain SLS.

Squigle Enamel Saver Toothpaste is completely free of SLS, and has fluoride and 36 percent xylitol to help prevent tooth decay. It gently cleans away surface stains and plaque without harsh chemical additives. Squigle toothpaste is also effective in preventing gum disease and perioral dermatitis. Squigle Enamel Saver Toothpaste is available at Xylipro.com, along with other xylitol products for the prevention of tooth decay and ear infections.

If you suffer from canker sores, read the testimonials posted on our website and judge for yourself. There's no need to continue suffering from painful oral ulcers. Try Squigle Enamel Saver Toothpaste and get relief!
